Various News and Notes
Trevor Story returned to the Rockies lineup on Monday and went 2-for-5 with two doubles against the Phillies. Story has been dealing with an elbow injury that was originally reported as a possible UCL injury. However, he is toughing it out in the home stretch as the Rockies battle for a playoff spot. Story told reporters that his elbow is not 100% and that he he may even struggle to complete throws to first, but the Rockies need his bat in the lineup and he will continue to play out the year.

Carlos Correa missed Monday’s game with a back issue and is not expected to play again today. Correa has missed almost a full week with the injury and could possibly be held out the rest of the way in order for him to rest before the playoffs start. Correa has been a disappointment once again for fantasy owners, having not played 110 games in each of the last two seasons. He has also stopped running, having only attempted three stolen bases in each of the last two seasons as well. Unfortunately, it appears that his name value is still worth more than his actual value as he has an ADP of 28.1 in the 2 Early Mock drafts I have been running.

According to Didi Gregorius, his injured wrist is improving and he may return before the end of the season. Didi hurt the wrist on the game winning run that clinched the playoffs for the Yankees over the weekend, but it sounds like it isn’t an issue that will cost him much time or prevent him from playing in the playoffs.

Aaron Hicks was removed from Monday’s game after injuring his hamstring. Hicks hurt the leg while trying to beat out a double play. Consider him day-to-day at this time.

Aaron Sanchez’s season is over after it has been decided that he will undergo surgery on his finger. Sanchez struggled this year with blister and this finger issue. He has posted a 4.89 ERa and 1.56 WHIP, but is still young enough to get his career on track if healthy.

Starlin Castro will miss the next at least the next 2-3 games to be with his wife as she gives birth to their child, according to Clark Spencer.

Would you prefer the Heaney start or the Reed start tomorrow? Both are available on the wire in my league.

Curious about this too. Looking for Ks and Wins, personally.
